Jom Makan Kat Kampung ....
So, last Sunday hubby took us to this place near to Juru Light Industrial for lunch. Lunch in a Kampung (village)! It's was fun and nice. Food was good too.
Let me show you some pictures.
Ikan Masak 3 rasa (3 flavour fish) - sweet, sour & spicy. Should have called it 3's fish mah, rite? Fish is very fresh
Lastly, Nasi Goreng Kampung. There were lots of ikan bilis and squid in it. Taste yummy........
There were 4 adults and 2 kids - it cost us only RM80 include of 2 jugs of watermelon juice. Reasonable price. With the fresh and good food, it's worth that price. Infact, the serving were quite big too to feed us all. No doubt is not like a high-class restaurant but once awhile it's a good place to eat. Leaving in the city is already a hectic so at times it's great to go away to some quiet place to eat.
Both my kids just love it there and they were enjoying themselves so much.
We plan to go back again but this time for dinner because we want to try out their ikan bakar.

Nice blog you have here.. I stumbled upon it when I was searching for baking supplies shop in Malaysia and got to your baking supplies shop. Pst, do you deliver to KL?
There are so many gems in Penang especially for food.
Your kids are cute! I have 2 girls too..
Nice place..but avoid during hot and when the tide is going down...stink like heck due to the pollution in the area...
Best regards

Hi Erina!
I maybe late in this comment... :-P That Amphibian fish is called Ikan Belacak/Belodok/Tembakul. Some people said the eggs/telur ikan tembakul is very delicious. I recalled a B & W Malay classic movie Batu Belah Batu Bertangkup where a mother (Neng Fatimah) of 2 kids, Pekan & Melur thrown herself inside the magical cave when Pekan, her son ate all the fish eggs she craved for.
The Mudskipper fish is the only type of fish in the world that can climb trees, walks, even hop, and live and breath on land. I'd seen some big ones scampering @ Gertak Sanggul & Balik Pulau during low-tide - kind of reminded me of prehistoric creature and it's evolution!
Errr..another usage of this Mudskipper is..ready?... :-P the fatty extract of amino acid alanine derived from Periophthalmodon Schlosseri (mudskipper fish aka Giant Mudskipper-native to Southeast Asia) is part of main ingredients in virile cream to increase men's libido! I read about it years ago in local news.
:-D
so how to go there?
