Bali Hai Seafood - Are Outside Food Clean?

Once awhile me and hubby will go for tim sum after we drop our kids in the nursery. As usual, today we went to Bali Hai Seafood at Gurney Drive for tim sum. We normally go there too because it's located not too far from my shop.
Loh Mai Kai (glutinous rice with chicken & mushroom) is one of my favourite. So, we ordered 2 loh mai kai. While enjoying the timsum and talking to hubby suddenly, I found a fly in my food. Yuks......................... eeee................................. nmch. Wtf is this!!! Hubby called the person in charge and when he told him about it, she just smile and then she said they will not charged us the loh mai kai. So, she use her pen to cut away the order in the chit and just walk away. MCH, I don't want free food. I can afford for that. She did not even say sorry about it.

See the extra 'black bean' in my loh mai kai?

Now, can you see it????

1 loh mai kai is RM2.50. So, blue pen is used to amend in my card to indicated no charge.
Never thought that a restaurant like Bali Hai Seafood is so unresponsible. When, hubby go to the counter to pay, he mention to the lady boss. She act like nothing and did not even apologise for the incident. Food is so so in Bali Hai but where is the hygiene? Where is the cleaniness? That show, how clean the kitchen is and how hygiene the workers are too!!! So, do think twice if you want to go to Bali Hai to dine. I am so dissapointed with them. This place use to be one of our favourite restaurant but now.............................................

DISSAPOINTED!!!

Hahaah, the name also so hai, so you can scold them tiu nia mah chao hai.

I never been to Bali Hai, only Red Bali in Air Itam. I heard the big boss got 'big hill' in the Race Course and their restaurants business is just a past time wor. The Red Bali biz is rather slow nowadays due to recession I think.

lilian - the taukeh so kaya liau, no wonder they don't care.

bn - the fly was in my loh mai kai, hiding underneath the mushroom. Luckily, I have a habit of eating slowly. If I eat like hungry ghost surely, the fly go into my stomach liau.

last week, I found a small dead lipas in my son's creamy fettucine. And you know from where??? TGIF Subang Jaya, our regular hang out place since 2 yrs ago. The waiter just apologized and replaced it with a new one. I expected a year's free meal! From then one, I make sure to check our food first b4 consuming. to them it's no big deal, after all it's dead ma.

I heard that the owner of Bali Hai and Red Bali(?) in Air Itam formerly partnered with Thai people and opened Golden Thai - at the corner of the same stretch. I think after the relationship turned sour, Bali Hai opened while Golden Thai still functioned but then their customers waned off. One thing for sure the slogan was not copyrighted by their ex-Thai partner :-D My hubby doesn't fancy Bali Hai, he said Dim Sum is limited and the staffs like 'acuh tak acuh ' only. Not attentive at all or even to check if we still need extra food. They just sit around and do their own things or chatting.

After your experience, I doubt I will go there anymore...they sure don't care for customers health. To them we're just mere 0.0005 % unlucky eaters. If it's a group of 20 + people who got sick then they wake up, scared of being reported on news or Health Ministry.

I think bloggers should unite and start to post ghastly truth about such attitude with proofs of pictures et all.
