A Happy Day For Us and Them

Saturday, 13 June 2009 was a happy day for my family, friends and the kids at Shan Home. Me and hubby decided to organise a BBQ party for them. Eventhougth it was a very simple and small one but all of us have a great evening. I had invited only a few friends including Lilian. Sometimes, not that I don't want to invite more people but I am not sure if they would like to go or not.

I found out about this home 2 months ago from a friend of mine. I drop by there about once a week. It's happy to be there. Shan Home is located at Mount Eskine. From the road side, you will see the signboard - Bodhi Heart Sanctuary. Follow that route. It will lead you to Shan Home. This home is situated at the same property with Bodhi Heart.

You must be wondering where are the other kids picutes. Nope, I am not putting it up here coz they also want some privacy. You can view a short video from Lilian blog.

Kids that live in this home have many hidden story behind. Living far away from parents it's a very painful experience. No one will understand them. Sometimes due to this, kids might give you funny attitute not because they are naughty but they are trying to take our attention. They also want our love too. So, sometimes I drop by to pass them some food and catch up with the kids. There are 18 of kids altogether now.

My friend Sue Ann wanted to organise another BBQ party for them again in the coming school holiday. Yipeeeee...............................................

If any of you want to donate anything to Shan Home, you can also pass it to me too as I will drop by their place at least once a week there. Afterall, Shan Home is very near to my shop.

Finally, Lilian I am happy for you too because your prayer had been answered by God and Mages is there safely with her sister. If you have any other charity project, do keep me inform. I love to help too in whichever way I could.

Special Gift

Kenny Ng just came back from Dubai about a week ago and today we are having a lunch date. Yes, lunch date ............................ :-) He will be leaving back to Dubai on Thursday. Meeting up with this man is not easy hor. Got to make appointment with him few months ahead one. Super duper busy and important man. hehehe................... When did I make my appointment to see him? Wow that was about 5 months back during our last meeting up in February 08.

During our last meet up, he told me that he will bring back some sand for me. I were wondering how is this man going to steal some sand for me..................... *scratch head*. So, during our lunch date today, he pass me a box.

This is the box stated Special Gift with 2 camels. ORIGINAL SANDS!!! Don't play play hor, it's real sand har! I ask him it that what he take from the ground. Then, he said nope. He bought that specially for me as a gift. Aiyoh ........................ sipeh paiseh.

There .......................... the sand. Can see kah? I had tried so long but still can't get a good pictures. Bad photographer. It had got 7 different types of sand there. It's really beautiful and unique. Thanks Kenny. Don't jealous hor with my gift. Where should I put this frame now. If I put at my work table sure got a lot of kepo people who will touch it. What if they break it? Nope. Take it back home ..................... Yes, put together with my others collection. Going to show off to my hubby later.

Kenny ...................... do you think on your next trip back you can bring me a camel kah? Real camel wor. Then, I can ride on it and don't have to pay for petrol liau. This one, I just feed with water only. Petrol very expensive. Water is cheaper. Can? Please .....................

Get Together

It's always nice to get together with our friends. Catching up with one another and kepoing around. Hehehe............... Ever since Chinese New Year till now, I have not stop meeting up with friends. Friends came back everywhere and we are catching up and updating each other on what happen to us all this while. I did also mentioned I met up with this rocker blogger, Kenny Ng, rite? Horny Angmoh, we did not take picture together wor. Too busy talking but Kenny did take some picture of the food. Not sure when he want to show it to all of you. Just few days ago, a friend just came back from Moscow and we will be meeting up together.

When we meet together, it's not what food we are eating or which restaurant we are going. The most important is the people we are meeting. For my last 'Get Together' we met at Northam Beach Cafe. We pick a table that is near to the sea. I did not manage to take pictures of all my friends but just to show a number of them only. Oh ya! Some of us bring our spouse together. So, all our spouse know all our friends one. Don't think they can do kinky stuff when we are not around as we still have eyes everywhere. Hahaha...................

Polly, apa duk garu garu tu? Happy to see me leh? Woi! When we can meet up together for the Hainanese Promotion at Copthorne, har? Then, the 2 of us can really kepo talking about things.

Both husband and wife are hotelier. Husband is a chef and wife is a sales person. Let me tell you hor, being a hotelier is not easy. Very stress also one when it come to peak season.

This man hor, it's good to know him. Let me introduce you the BEST ARTIST OF YEAR 2007, Kenny Liew. He is the one that help me to crave the 'lanciau'. Mentioning about the name Kenny, I actually have lots of friends who name Kenny also. Let me see ...... Kenny Cheah, Kenny Ng, Kenny Liew, Kenny Ooi, Kenny Lim, Kenny Chan and Kenny Chin. Must be a famous name afterall.
Leng Leng aunties (beautiful aunties). What a sweet smiles!!! The lady in black dress is our mama. That is what we use to call her. She is a very nice lady - loving , caring, sweet, humble and etc etc etc.

This man ..................... who else? My hubby lor. Handsome leh???? That is not my son, hor. Mine is still small. This is Polly's son who love to hang around with my husband even from small. Not sure apa sai. But the 2 of them can talk alot also. Maybe hubby love kids alot therefore he can be together with any kids. He even want to follow us home. Hahaha....

My Date

After a long silence finally, I am back with my blogging. If you ask me do I miss blogging, YES I AM! Very much leh................ but apa mau buat? I have so much things and work to do for the pass few weeks. If I get a 4 hours sleep every nite, I am consider very lucky liau. During the last week of CNY, I lagi like siau char bor (mad woman). Got to rush for the cookies order, buy CNY stuff for my home and family, clean the house (which I did not manage to finish all) and etc etc. Anyway, it's over now and after this week, I will be slightly free. Tomorrow will be Valentine's Day and also they Hokkien ppl will be busy preparing to pray the Jade Emperor. Again, I have work to do. Buy food, fruits and praying stuff. Wan roast pork? Come to my house...................

On Friday .............................. ahem! I am having a date with the rocker. Who else? Kenny Ng lar!! We will be having a lunch date. All the lenglui who know him don't get jealous hor? Hehehe........ I will tell you what happen hor after our lunch date. Kenny gave me a very confortable way going out with him. Very gentleman hor. If not married sure go after him one. Wahahaha. He sms me yesterday nite and ask me to pick a venue for lunch and he is giving me a treat. Early early already say want to treat me and make me feel so paiseh. Btw, this is my first time meeting him, ok? I ask him what he want to eat and what is his preferance. Guess what he answer me? He say no problem and don't worry about him. Just go where I want to eat. Walau!!! Where to find this good gentleman lagi nowadays? I mean those who are still single har. So, for those lenglui who are still single, can consider this diamond bachelor (this is wat Wingz called him). I am not going to say mor etill I meet him on Friday lunch. Anyway, venue is still not confirmed till now. hehehe...........

Oh......... here come another weekend. Soon the year of 2007 will be over. What surprise me is today, L'abeille and XT drop by over at my shop. They are here coz XT grandma just pass away. My deepest condolences to XT and his family. Very nice couple!!! I love meeting people. That is the reason why I give up my job as secretary to join the hospitality industry as a PR. Talk non stop and meet different people from different part of the world. That give hubby a reason to say that I am a very talkative person.

Another thing ........... XT punya kereta, Nissan XTrail kena kick by a horse. YES, it's true. It happen near The Ship at Batu Ferringhi. I am not sure whether L'abeille will blog about it or not. Another it's not a good experience. So next time if we see horse at the roadside, please go far far har. Don't say I don't warn any of you. Anyhow, I also feel so sorry coz I did not have much time to catch up with her. Normally, during the weekend I am very busy - like a siew char bor (mad lady). hahaha................ nevermind, I trust there is always another time. My apologise to you, L'abeille.

Bit Nee birthday is just 1 day after my anniversary. So easy to remember. I have been thinking what should I get for her. Finally, I found something. Oh yes!!! I also need to send something for her little baby girl, Kaylee. She is be 1 mth old soon.

I got Bit Nee a pair of handmade earring. Hope she will like it. Happy Birthday Mummy!!!

My friend, Feon called up to ask me if I am free to make cakes today and I told her it's ok if not a complicated one. Then, she told me it was our friend Karen who will be celebrating her birthday today. Aiyoh!!! If like that lagi can make for her lar no matter what. So, I have make some cupcakes for her and it's from me and Feon.

Happy Birthday Seow Seow! We call her Seow because she is a funny lady. Smile most of the time. This is a Chocolate and Strawberry series cupcakes ........................ specially for Karen, from me and Feon.

This 4 cupcakes I made it specially for Feon. She had been very busy lately with the hotel functions. And I knew she is very tired too. Moreover, her little boy is not feeling well too. So, I think she had not been getting enough sleep too. Therefore, I had make another 4 more cupcakes to send over to her. Hope this will cheer her up. It's not easy being a mummy. Happy Birthday WomanBizSENSE

We celebrate our WomanBizSENE 1st birthday at Eastern & Oriental Hotel last Friday (27 July 2007). WomanBizSENSE are a group of business ladies where we get together to exchange information or contacts. Joe and Krista were the one who started this group. Many might feel that we ladies have nothing to do and sit gather to gossip. NO WE DON'T!!! This is none of our business. Here, we have ladies who run business such as Real Estate, Internet, Education, Music, Art, Food, Advertising, Financial Planning and etc etc etc. Krista were fast and she wrote about this already. I am bit slow this time. After talking, we did not realise apart from me and Krista, Shiela also had got a blog but I did not manage to get her blog name.

We really had a good time gathering together. The ladies were sharing among ourselves what had happen for the past few months. Joe also invited a speaker to speak to us - using Management Skill in our family. I will tell you more on the next post but now I want to show you the pictures of us at 1885 in E & O Hotel.

Food were good in 1885 but the most important thing is who we are eating with. We have so many lovely ladies there to share their experience, ideas and bla bla bla. It's so nice to catch up with them. This is my personal thanks to Chef Bob Lee(Executive Chef), Chef Mariam(Pastry Chef) and the Pastry Team for the nice pastry that had prepared. I will be attending another event in E&O coming Oct 07 which is organised by Food Friends. If I have any gathering with my friends, I will surely return to 1885. Hope I will still get the same service again. For anyone who love a quiet and cozy ambiance, I recommend you to drop by here to experience it yourself.

Last Saturday, my good friend Bit Nee had sent this to me thru Noel. Noel is an International Florist. You can place an order and they will be able to send your order to anywhere in the world. When I came back from my class in the afternoon on last Saturday, 23 June I saw this on my table. It's from Bit Nee. I am so touch!!! This tai toh poh (pregnant lady) susah susah also send me flowers. I am so kum-thong. Thanks Bit Nee. Thank you so much. Your this little gift does means alot to me. My birthday is not on 23 June but she is sending it 1 day earlier to my shop because I off on Sunday. To Earl-ku, Hongkiat, Belle and Ching Ling - my apologise for not being able to take you for breakfast on Sunday coz I were having some activities on that day. I promise, your next visit I take you guys for seafood, ok?

Don't get jealous of my beautiful flower har? See the teddy bears? It's keychain. Lovely ................ I still have this basket of flower on my table till today. I shall dried up the purple everlasting flower to make bookmarks. Let me think of something and I should recycle whatever that can to make it into something.

I am 1 year older liau!!! *tears roll down*........ Nope! Nope! Nope! You all wrong already. I am 1 year mature, getting more sexy and beautiful and more hiau (that is what my friends said to me). Few of them send me sms and say they are looking forward to see me more hiau. What a what to wish me.
